INVITATION TO UNDERSTAND ISLAM

TO ALL READERS (MUSLIMS AND NOT YET MUSLIMS)

The Writer has been viewing quite a number of YouTube videos about Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism and some less known religion since his retirement from employment in early 2010. He has been spending his time in writing blog http://alqamar5417.blogspot.com mainly for Muslim readers, but now the Writer would like to spend a bit of time to tell about Islam to not yet Muslims who are interested to know more about Islam.

In this blog, as the title says, Invitation to Understand Islam, the Writer will focus simple understanding about Islam and maybe with some comparative discussion.

The Writer will not invent the wheel as he is not an expert in comparative religion. Instead, he will use information from existing writings, books, blogs, website, YouTube religious videos, images etc and will provide a link to those sources and/or will rewrite his writings with other supporting evidence like verses of the Qur'an, verses from the Bible, the Old Testament, Veda (Buddhism) etc. and will also provide links to the Readers, to enable them to verify the sources themselves.

Again, the Writer would like to stress that he does not plan to criticize any religion nor to hurt anyone's feeling in this discussion. Comparative religious study may be sensitive to some but if the Writer touch on some comparative religion matter, he will discuss on the commonality and hope readers (Muslim and Non-Muslims) will tolerate the differences.

One of the main information source that will be used by the Writer is pamphlets issued by the Muslims Welfare Organization of Malaysia (www.perkim.net.my) which is a very good source of information about Islam.
